Manual Lymphatic Drainage(MLD):

Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) is a gentle manual treatment which improves the function of the lymphatic system throughout the body., MLD is used to re-route the lymph flow around blocked or congested areas into healthy lymph vessels which drain into the venous circulation.

The treatment itself usually feels just like a stretching of the skin, beginning at the neck and progressing to the abdomen followed by movement into the arms and legs.  If there is an accumulation of fluid in any of these places, it will be cleared out before moving on to the next body part. It is usually a relaxing treatment and the benefits may be felt immediately.

MLD may be beneficial for anyone who is healing from an illness  or injury. The lymphatic system is part of the immune system and is responsible for clearing toxins and cellular waste from the body.
